Bio: Tandee was swarmed by wasps in 2004, and was almost killed. We had to do CPR and A/R on her, and brought her around. Her vet was very skillfull, and saved her life.
Then in June of this year, we lost our home to a fire. Tandee and Paco had to be resuscitated.
She is the bravest, my kind-hearted dog I have ever had.
I love her with all of my heart.
Do your pet a lifesaving favor, and learn CPR.
Next on the list is having half of her tail amputated Autum2006, due to a condition called "Happy Tail".
Tandee crossed the Rainbow Bridge tonight, Feb 20 2008 suddenly, due to Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia (IMT)
She is grieviously missed.

Its a very sad day for us. This is Tandee's Daddy writing............ Momma is trying to take care of things while she cries and as I sit here with tears running down my face. Our poor girl was much more ill than she wanted anyone to know. Brave to the end her light was put out tonight with Daddy and Momma holding her closely. Poor little girl was even trying to wiggle when we went to the hospital to see her. But we could tell. The vet was sad for us and wanted to give us good news but she couldn't. In the end we had to do the right thing for Tandee. They don't know why her body started to attack her platelets but they said that it was only a matter of time. She was bleeding internally and every little mark and bump brought horrible bruising instantly. She was bave to the end and didn't even flinch at the needle. She took a final breath in her Daddy and Momma's arms and then crossed over to wait for us. Everyone at home is so sad. We love you Tandee and miss you so terribly right now.
Tandee was taken to the V E T's yesterday when i noticed a TON of blood red, flat bruises all over her body, and her gums were bleeding a bit. Her V E T was very concerned, and said she had to stay there overnight. He suspected she had ingested some poision, possibly ate a mouse which had eaten mouse poison. He was concerned about her "bleeding out".
She is still at the V E T's, and has to stay for at least two more days, her platelet count is very very low. She is currently taking coritzone and prednesone injections.
she has NOT been poisoned, her tox work came back clear on for any poisons, and nothing is there that shouldnt be.
The vet said that it was "like an allergic reaction, and her system is attacking the platelets". I asked her if it could be cancer, and she said there was no indication of a tumour which is great.
She has to stay totally calm, if she so much as tears a nail, or bumps too hard she could hemmorage internally.
She is in great spirits, but can't have visitors cause she gets all goofy.
We will keep you posted on how our sweet girl is doing.
