Arrival Story:
We were asked by the CT Humane Society to "foster" an abused mutt for a few weeks before Xmas... we already had adopted one dog (Ruka) from the Humane Society who had also been abused and they thought we might be able to provide a good, but temporary, home for Stewie so that he could gain back some weight and his strength... when he was turned over the Humane Society, his frame was as large as it is now, but he only weighed 19 lbs! They have no idea how he survived... He was very nervous when they first brought him into the room to meet us and the minute I saw him, I knew he would be living with us forever... it was like Jerry McGuire and he had me at "hello!" It's hard to believe that the bag of bones with scars all over his ears and face is now an 80 lb strong as an ox bundle of love!

Bio:
Stewie is an 80+ mutt... he is a mush - he's scared to death of the cat and will often be found with his head under the bed hiding from him! He loves to cuddle and is the sweetest dog you will ever meet :)
