Why does my dog keep whining and shaking when he has his toys in his mouth?

My 8 year old male shih tzu dog was recently neutered. He has a toy with him at all times. If we hide the toy he whines and goes searching for it. He seems to act like they are his puppies. He lays there whining and shaking when he is holding a toy. this is weird behavior for him. Has anyone experienced this and what should I do?

I would take him to the vets immediately. If it is not the norm and he just had surgery he could be telling you he is in pain or he has infection ect. I am not sure but I wouldn't wait on it.
I hope he is ok. good luck
