Why does my dog keep licking at her butt/tail?

She got her anal glands cleaned out about 2-3 weeks ago and the licking started a day or two before that. Is there some other cause or is it still her anal glands?

could be the food and irritation too.
How many grains and corn ect are in it?
check the bag and try to find out what is causing it.

It is very possible that she has an infection in her anal glands, or that they were injured while being expressed. Were they expressed at your veterinarians? An infection would be very irritating to her and would continue to ooz pus even after they were expressed. This is not normal and needs to be looked at by your vet. It is likely she needs an antibiotic to clear up the problem.

Have you given her a good bath and washed these areas well? Try it and see if the licking stops.... maybe it is just dry and itchy or she sat in something pokey. If she continues to, she may have full anal glands again. You will certainly be able to smell them if they start leaking!!
