When my poodle gets excited she can't catch her breath? I don't know what's going on, any suggestions?

A quick call to the vet so they can ascertain weather she should be seen or not. Good luck and try to relax around her. The bigger deal you make around her the more anxiety she is going to have.

I do the same thing when i get excited when my master comes home. Once I settle down I am fine, it is just the excitment. But not seeing your dog, I am not sure if it is the same thing. Maybe ask the vet next time you go in just to be safe.
