what to do if my english bulldog swallows a half eaten raw oxtail bone?

Just keep an eye on him. Most likely nothing will happen and the acid in his stomach will break down the bone. He may have some constipation.
Or unusual looking poop (chalky, dry, crumbles within a day, etc), which is nothing to worry about.

I agree with Gray. Observe its bowel movement and if you see bright red blood in the stool, then you should take your dog to the vet. Lets just hope the acid in the stomach of your dog dissolves the bone. Goodluck!
