what should i do if my dog ate cheese

How much cheese are you talking about? In most cases cheese is fine. Many people use it to give their pets medication. Some use it in their raw diets. I give my dogs cheese a treat every now and then. I really doubt its an issue.

Cheese isn't necessarily bad. You may get some diarrhea, if that, but most likely nothing more.

Cheese isn't bad for a dog to have. I agree with the above answers, if he ate a little too much he may have diarrhea.
