I use essential oils on my dogs. I haven't seen one flea or tick anywhere in the house or on my dogs for over a year. I've been using clove oil and peppermint oil. Drop a few drops of the oil on the dogs coat and rub all into the coat except the face and sensitive areas.
I feed good food which will help a lot. I feed Orijen dog food. I highly recommend Orijen, it's the best dog food out there.
I sprinkle garlic powder in my dogs food, too. I sprinkle about 1/2 to 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder into their food. Garlic powder wards off fleas and ticks.

A non monthly applicator flea, tick, mosquito medicine you can use is PETfection Bug Spray. It is 100% Organic and Non Toxic. It doesn't contain any chemicals and works great at keeping the bugs away and healing any previous bites he/she may already have. It smells good too! I love it. You can check it out at www.mypetfection.com for more info. Hope this helps!

www.pupcrate.com just featured a great organic dog shampoo and soap bar that deters fleas and soothes their skin. Its so organic and human grade based that i used it on myself. I was smooth, and loved it. But www.pupcrate.com features alot of great organic and natural - safe and non-toxic dog products!
