The Chihuahua standard calls for a dog that does not weigh more than six pounds.
There is no such size as a miniature Chihuahua, there's only a short-haired Chihuahua and a long-haired Chihuahua. "Miniature", "toy", etc in Chihuahuas are a BYB terms. Small-than-normal Chihuahuas suffer more health problems due to their size, anyway. One such problem is a condition, I believe, known as "water head" and has to do with blood flow to the brain.

No it is just a regular chihuahua. BYB (backyard breeders) will breed smaller dogs to make undersized dogs and put names on it like minnies or teacups but they are just poorly bred dogs and try to rip you off by charging more money for them.

When you have someone claiming they have minnie sized dogs all it is is a BYB not breeding correctly and just breeding smaller sized dogs together and claiming they are minnies. In return they charge more because they are calling it teacups or minnies. So the answer is no you just have an undersized pup.

Standard weight for a Chihuahua is 2 to 6 pounds.
A habit of breeding runts together to create even more runts or "teacup" sized dogs is unhealthy. You should avoid buying such a dog.
