what is the PERFECT SMALL dog breed that best work for an adult cat so that they get along?

I'm thinking of getting a small dog. That is why i need help

There is no "perfect" breed, they all have their strengths and failings. It depends on a lot of things. Almost ANY breed of dog can live with a cat if socialized with cats from puppyhood. So if you get a puppy and train it to respect the cat you're golden. But puppies are loud, rambunctious, and energetic, and this may be very upsetting to your cat during the adjustment process.

Another option is to adopt an adult rescue dog that has been tested with cats for non-aggressive behavior. Most reputable dog rescues do this before sending dogs into homes with cats. Adult dogs are calmer and more focused than puppies, and what you see is what you get. Pups change a LOT in appearance and personality as they mature, while a n adult dog is "finished" and not likely to change.

In my opinion, the most important things to think of when choosing a breed are:
energy level
sociability
trainability
grooming needs
health concerns
