What is the ideal age to neuter my Blue Heeler/Boarder Collie mix? Should I neuter him?

I've recently read literature which states to wait 12 months.

I'm personally a believer in six months and up, in general.
Here's an article relating to this:

You can neuter him when ever you want. There is no law or anything for it. I would wait until he is at least 9 weeks old though.

You can do it at 8 or 9 weeks, but I would do it after he's gotten all of his shots at about 6 months. However, if your dog will spend a lot of time with, let's say, an unspayed female such as a neighbor's dog, other dog in the household, etc., then I would ask your vet about doing it a little earlier.

Good luck and thank you for choosing to neuter your dog!

I wait till at least a year before neutering. 8 months to a year is fine. 6 months is ok anytime before that is insane in my opinion.
Have fun with your fellow. Sounds like an interesting combination.
