Patchs

Put the dog "on leash" next to you and have it stand with it's head next to your knee. When the dog is calm and paying attention to you:

Say HEEL and take a step. The dog should follow. When it stops next to you reward it with praise or a treat. Say HEEL and take another step. The dog should follow. Reward the dog ... and so on!!!

If the dog moves ahead of you, just say "no" in a calm firm tone and take two steps back and start over.

I've only had two dogs in the past 17 years that could not be trained in this manor. And it was b/c they would not focus on me.
