It depends... CKC is the Canadian Kennel Club, a highly respected organization in Canada for registering purebred dogs. They offer multiple dog events and seminars, etc., and promote the responsible breeding of purebred dogs.
CKC is also the Continential Kennel Club, an organization for registration only of pretty much any dogs whose owners pay to have them get a registration certificate. ConKC registers mixed breeds as well as purebreeds and does not support showing and organized dog sporting events. It is mainly used by millers and BYBs.
