bloody stools, smelly stools and the dogs will be lathargic.
See a vet if you suspect any puppy of being sick or not vaccinated yet.

There are two types of parvo viruses. By far, the most common type causes intestinal symptoms like bloody, copious diarrhea and vomiting.

The diarrhea in dogs and puppies with parvo has a putrid, unmistakable smell and can start out yellow or greyish in color and quickly progress to blood tinged or bright red liquid. It can also skip that entirely and just start as bloody diarrhea.

The other form is a cardiac form and it involves the heart and the surrounding tissues. This is a much rarer form of parvo, but it does occasionally happen. Dogs with cardiac form pavo don't usually have intestinal symptoms but they can.

But any type of unexplained diarrhea or vomiting, or any time there is blood in the feces of a dog who is either very young in age or has not been kept up to date on his shots should be checked out by a vet immediately.

Parvo is an extremely serious disease and while it's survivable, it's nearly almost deadly unless vet/medical intervention is started quickly.
