We just got a minature poodle that's 2 months old. She has a long tail. What happens if we leave her tail long?
Is it too expensive to have her tail docked? She has a long tail, unlike poodles.

I don't think you would normally crop a Poodle's tail. If you put a picture up (maybe put a link on this question) of her tail then maybe I could see if it's really THAT long. Poodles usually have short tails, but not really VERY short. Maybe it's just a puppy thing. I would talk to your breeder or shelter about that. If they don't know, talk to your vet. Hope this helps!

It won't hurt to leave her tail long.
Tail docking is normally done at the young age of two or three days.

Don't chop off the tail. Just let her be a dog and let her keep what mother nature gave her.
Well at this point, you have no choice but to leave her tail the way it is. Tail docking is done when the puppy is only days old, as the healing process is much easier at that time. No veterinarian should ever even consider docking a dog's tail at this age, ever. Enjoy your Poodle the way that she is.

to dock her tail now she would have to be put to sleep if they had cut her tail early while she was a first born the nerve wouldnt of been down in tail yet but now it is so a vet would have to cut it for you and put her to sleep it wont hurt her but it might be expensive depending on the vet you can leave it long and when you have her groomed tell the groomer to just fan it around some and make it look more rounded and shaped you can train the tail to grow in pretty like that but if you go ahead and dock her tail it would look much better on her and she wont know anything about it she would be asleep comb it downward to train the hair when you cut it good luck to you
