We have had our female labradoodle puppy for a month now and she STILL cries at night.

We have had our female labradoodle puppy for a month now. From most of the website I've visited, they say cover the cage, excluding one of the sides at night. Apparently, they will stop crying a couple nights after they realize it doesn't work. This has not been the case. She is still crying for 10 minutes up to a couples hours every night. What are we doing wrong? Should the open side of the cage be facing the open room or the wall? (She is on the middle floor, and we all sleep upstairs.)

We have been consistent in ignoring her it just isn't working.

Have you tryed turning a radio to a local talk station and play for the dog. Sometimes just the sound of a human voice helps to calm them a bit also. Good luck and I hope you find something that works.
