twelve year old JRT that has started soiling in the house. How do I stop this?

If it's unusual for him/her to do that, then I would have him checked by a vet. There might be something curable going on. Good Luck!

Agree with previous answer. Especially considering his age, one possibility is he may be getting incontinent. There are medications to help control that.
