Tips for traveling to Niagara Falls through Canada? Answers at Dogster Answers.

I am traveling to Niagara Falls in early June for my sister's wedding. I am thinking about bringing Kiara but was wondering how dog-friendly Niagara Falls is on the American side. Are dogs allowed anywhere in the park? How easy is it to travel with dogs across the border (will likely be driving through Canada)? Any other tips/tricks for the area or dog-friendly hotel/motel recommendations? Also, I'm thinking of staying in a hotel in Canada even though the wedding is on the American side. Any thoughts/suggestions?

The American side (Goat Island, etc) is mostly just a big wide open park area. I see people walking dogs there whenever I'm up that way, so I assume that dogs are allowed (I'd google it just to be sure). It's probably fine as long as you obey the leash law, so no off-leash romps through there... this time of the year is busy and there are a lot of different kinds of people visiting, some of which aren't used to being near dogs in public places, so keep that in mind and just remember to stay courteous.

Traveling to into Ontario, rabies certificate, and any other recent vet records you can provide. Obviously Kiara is not a Pit Bull Terrier, but just bring records that state her breed somewhere anyway just to be safe since APBT are banned in Ontario. As for you the human, if you are going to be traveling there after June 1st you HAVE to have either a Passport or an Enhanced License, they won't be accepting regular licenses and/or birth certificates anymore.
