A Lhasa Apso's coat lies flat when it is grown out and properly brushed. A Chinese Crested does not have hairs that lay flat. Their hairs on their head and tail are fluffy and soft. Why on earth would you want to use a hair straightener on your dogs' coat?
That's just plain silly!

If you are talking about hair straightener for people ABSOLUTELY NOT!
It is too harsh & will burn the dog's skin!
Why are you needing to have these dogs hair lie flat anyway?
Proper grooming should get you that on breeds that are supposed to have coat that lies flat.

Abby

No, you can not use hair straightener to straighten your dog's hair.

The way show dogs end up with those great looking coats at dog shows is by being groomed daily, and washed and blow-dried directly before shows to make their coats look their best.

♥Tiffy♥

My Tiffy has an extremely wavy coat. When she gets a bath at home, she gets blow dryed with a hair blow dryer, on low of course. This straightens her hair right out. But it doesn't last for long. Maybe a week or so. If yiu want the hair to lay flat, maybe you should just get her a haircut.
