Sparky has a pink and brown nose. Does this mean anything?

Sparky has had a pink and brown nose since we got him. The vet never mentioned anything wrong, but I know this can either be a disease, or nothing at all. No matter how hard I look for English Springer Spaniels with his color nose, or any dog at all, they all have brown or black noses. His paw pads are also brown and pink, which I believe can be normal. Also, since a dog's actual skin is usually pink and brown, does that mean anything? I just want to know what this can mean... thanks!

If Sparky has had this coloration of his nose since puppyhood AND the skin is otherwise normal it is most likely he just has incomplete pigmentation on his nose. It is a breed fault, but is only cosmetic and does not indicate any health issues or potential health issues. This can be a breed problem in many dogs with a white base color and colored patches.
The pink areas in his skin are where white hair grows or would grow if they had hair there and the brown ones are where brown hair would grow.
It is perfectly normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong with him.

It means that your Sparky is a SWEETIE!!.. theres nothing wrong with him, its just what i like to call a Beuty mark!!You can check with your vet. In some dogs it can be a sign of an autoimmune disorder such as lupus, or some deficiency in nutrients. It can also be a seasonal change or allergic reaction caused by contact with plastic bowls, etc (In some cases)...:D
