Our dog keeps eating his own poop?

Our 5 year old llasa poo has worms. We've taken him to the vet and they gave us pills for it and it worked for a while but then it started again. He had fleas before and we were told that thats where he got the worms from. He no longer has fleas, but he got worms again. We've been treating it and today I noticed when I let him out of his cage he started eating some poop that was in his cage. Could this be where the worms are coming from? And he's never eaten poop before, and we give him treats to get him into his cage. Could he be associating things in his cage as treats and so eats his poop? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Some dogs love poop, any poop, even their own. Kali is 7 and she still will occasionally eat it. You will just have to make sure he doesn't eat it. That's probably where he got the second round of worms from.
