New dog won't eat, what can we do
We have just rescued a Great Pyrenees and he is hardly eating. He will chew the ham hock bones we give him. We have had him 4 days and he is not interested in the dry food we give him. We give him the same food we feed our other dogs, and have tried several other brands of food. Was wondering if it is the stress of the situation he now finds himself in. He had been with his owner for almost 2 years and is still in much of the puppy stage.

It could be the stress of the situation. Have you tried mixing a little something yummy in his food to coax him to eat? Also, you might want to have a vet check him out if it continues. Good Luck!

Try feeding canned food and mix it with a little bit of dry food. Try feeding him bits of cubed cheese, peanut butter or deli meat by hand to get him a bit more comfortable eating something.

U can try cooking some chicken and rice or potatoes or some ground beef and mix that into the kibble.
