Neighbors dog fell on mine. Is their homeowners responsible for all the medical bills? They said no only his value
My dog has had to have three surgeries due to dislocated hip. This happened on MY property when their dog ran out of their home. I have up to $2700. in bills and their insurance offered $300. stating they will only pay up to the dogs value as he is 'property'. Could I sue under the 'bodily injury' clause, negligency of the owners, or take them to small claims court (Michigan). I NEED SOME HELP!

If another dog hurts you or your dog on your property, you can sue them. The owner of this dog broke the law, it is the law to keep your animals under control at all times so this person who owns this dog who had no control over it at the time owes you the money.
