Need advice? we just got a mastiff pup. we took him to vet today for the new puppy wellness exam and found out he has a
Found out he has a broken right rear tibia. we have only had him for 2 days. the breeder said she had noticed him limping but didn't take him to be seen. so my question is since he's such a massive breed will this cause problems.down the line . if so what? thank you.

Only the examining vet can answer this question- not all breaks are equal. The good news is that puppies often heal quickly and completely from broken bones. Bad news is that this could be a very expensive puppy with possible surgery, splint/cast, meds, etc and I would seriously consider returning him to the breeder if you don't think you can afford the cost.
Most breeders sell on a contract that includes a grace period to have the dog checked by a vet and returned for a full refund, usually 2 weeks. Hope yours did.

IMO that breeder is DEFINITELY responsible for any and all costs incurred from this injury. In many states there are puppy lemon laws protecting buyers from things such as this.
If it were me I would definitely return that puppy ASAP.
