My Yorkie had 6 puppies 2 days ago all are healthy and fat. Mommy has had bad diarhea since yesterday

She is eating well drinking lots of water but way over protective. Could it just be anxiety? She worries wheen I take her out of the playpen and can't stay stll long enough to finish her meal she is back and forth up and down stairs but the door is closed I have her and the puppies in a playpen up stairs but she is so afraid one of the other 2 dogs are going to bother her puppies even tho they have no interest in them. HELP

I would keep her in a quiet place away from all other activity. Keep your other dogs away from her and her puppies. I would put her food & water bowl in the same room where her puppies are. I would only take her away from the pups long enough to go to the bathroom. The first week or so, she needs to be with the pups constantly. Once they start to move around freely, I would give her breaks. Right now, it's very important she has as much quiet time you can give her. Good Luck!

Has she been to the vet yet for her post whelping checkup? Diarrhea can be a symptom of a retained puppy or placenta, both of which can make her very, very sick within a few days and both of which will cause the babies to start dying if they are nursing toxic milk.
Also, the less stress the better for her and the babies. It has been proven that babies raised by a nervous, upset mother will grow up to be nervous, high strung dogs with socialization difficulties.
Both Mom and puppies should be in a quiet area totally out of sight of other dogs and animals in the household. She should be only leaving them long enough for a quick potty trip.
