My vet said use RobitussinDM for my dog. Pharmacist said take plain Robitussin it didnt have anything but Guaifenesin?

My vet said I could use an over the counter drug for my dog for her cough. She told me to use Robitussin DM and make sure there isnt anything else in it like an anti histamine or tylenol. The pharmacist said to take plain Robitussin because it didnt have anything else in it.. Which should I use?
