The puppy really should still be with his mother until he is at least 8 weeks old. In most US, that is the *law*. If at all possible, get him back to his mother. Dogs need dog milk, not milk from another speces. If his mother died, get a puppy formula.

If your dog can't be with it's natural mother, you're doing the RIGHT thing! At that age, it needs to keep a full tummy. Pet stores probably carry a bottle suitable for your purposes for feeding. Goat milk is the best replacement milk for any 4 or 2 legged animal on earth to the best of my knowledge, which is quite high on this subject. NEVER feed formula if you can help it. Even the "people" formulas in stores quite often state that "mothers milk is best". Most formulas are soy based, which means they are just full of estrogen, a female hormone. I would elaborate on this about what is wrong now a days in the U.S., but that would break the GOOD WORTHY rules this site has. If the pup can't be with it's mother, you are doing great. One more thing, I hope you are using raw milk, instead of processed. It contains more nutrients and does not cause hardening of the arteries like the processed cow milk in the store. Are artery problems common in the U.S.? Of course!
