My Sheltie is 16yo. The white hair on her snout just above her nose thinned out and the skin turned dark.

It doesn't seem to hurt her. What would cause this? When we moved from the mid-west to Phoenix this started. She not out in the sun for any length of time.

I wouldn't worry, but if you are worried it's always a good idea to check with the vet.
