My puppy threw up bile, with a frog skeleton, dirt and needles, what should I do, and is he in danger?
At the end of the day, after taking my 37lb 24 week old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix out to go to the bathroom, he vomited a watery bile, that contained what appeared to be a frog/toad skeleton, dirt and pine needles. We live in Mid-New England, and I know about the local animal species, none are too poisonous. But I want to know if this has anything to do with it. He appears tired and has not drank or eaten. He is not convulsing in any way.Though he nips alot. Please answer.

How long has he not taken food or drink? Is he still passing urine and feces? Are his gums pink (good), or white (bad)? Does he have a fever? If this has been ongoing, he's not going potty, and his gums are pink, it's emergency vet time because he could have a blockage or internal bleeding.
For upset stomach, my vet suggests one (human, OTC) Pepcid every 12 hrs. Maybe switch out his food for something bland, like equal parts white rice (not the instant kind) and boiled chicken or plain ground beef. I'd give the option of drinking some poultry broth in addition to water. Sometimes that will entice them to eat and drink, and they'll be getting more protein, but it'll be gentler on the stomach.
Obviously he's been eating things that aren't edible and you don't know what else could be in there. If your instinct tells you not to wait, take him in. No one knows your dog better than you and it's better to be safe than sorry.
