my pit bull became pregnant in her first heat due to an accident. SHE IS FINE! regular vet checks can prevent any

unfortunate effects of having a dog pregnant in their first heat. MIND YOU HERS WAS AN ACCIDENT. I WOULD HAVE NEVER BRED HER UNTIL SHE WAS TWO YEARS OLD. But she has done well and hasn't had any complications. I live on a farm and all of her puppies will be spayed and neutered along with her when the birthing is over with. Also i recommend back ground checks before selling or giving any of your puppies away. Your local police department will do these for next to nothing if they charge you at all. Don't decide on an abortion until you talk to your vet. I actually had a german shepard die during an abortion. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT UNLESS YOUR DOGS HEALTH IS IN SERIOUS DANGER. CONSIDER A C SECTION FIRST. THANKS

If you wish to prevent it PLEASE go to your vet! If caught early she WILL probably be spayed so that she will be ok and nothing will be wrong with her.

I'm sorry for your accident. I hope that you were going to breed her for the right reason. You know, to improve the health of the breed. Accidents happen, even sometimes with responsible people. Good on requiring for the puppies to be spayed and neutered. But don't make them get spayed or neutered until about 6 months please.
Just in-case, please read my page.
