My lab has several fatty masses, are these dangerous?

One is on his hunches by leg and one is on chest.

My GSD has a bunch of those. They are called "fatty tumors" and dogs sometimes get them--especially when they are getting up there in age. If it's just the fatty masses and nothing else--no scabs or scrapes, then he should be fine. Just keep an eye on them. About once a month, I check my dogs all over to make sure everything is normal and Cookie's fatty tumors are one of the main things I check.
If you're still concerned, you can have your dog's vet look at them.

If a vet has aspirated them and told you that they are nothing other than fatty masses, then there is no need to remove them unless they interfere with the dog's ability to move. Don't just assume that they are fatty masses without a vet's confirmation, though. Other, more dangerous things can feel similar to the untrained fingers.

Dieta

As they age they can have fatty tumors or cysts.
I would as a percaution take the dog into the vets to have them evaluated.
Years ago I thought it was cancer, but the vet just laughed and said no.
So, for the sake of just knowing I would take the dog into the vets to be 100% sure.

They do sound like fatty cysts. Oh, make sure you do not try to open them that would be bad.
