My Great Dane is pooping and peeing in the crate. Help?
My great dane is less than a year old, has been trained, and has no bladder issues. Lately, he's been waiting until he know's we're getting ready to take him out, and peeing and pooping in the bed. At this point, we don't know what to do. He's not really a trouble maker, and gets along great with the other dogs. We haven't had this problem since we first got him, and was training him. What can we do?

I would have a vet check him to make sure there's no health issues. Then, I would start over with his training. He's still just a puppy. Sometimes dogs will go through a "stupid" stage while their growing up, just like kids. Having some patience and taking him out often will pay off. Good Luck!

At a year the max he will hold his bladder is about 6 hours... maybe your leaving him in there too long. Also scheduled feeding = scheduled pooping... try changing the times he eats.
