Like everyone is saying, the Vet. If it is "pored" then he most likely already has a superficial skin infection, which will require antibiotics and some form of anti-inflammatory med. Also, don't wait, because Staph. and Strep. have a tendency to travel up the urethra and cause an ascending bacterial infection. Then you have your UTI..Also, don't wait until you see blood or "pink" in the urine, those aren't the only signs of a UTI.

Wiley and Obi are right! No internet advice can substitute for a veterinary exam. If your dog has a serious infection causing the rash without proper antibiotics and veterinary care, you can put all the OTC products in the world on it and not clear it up.
In fact, the longer you wait the more likely he is to end up with an internal infection as well!
Please get off the internet and take him to your vet for treatment!!!

Before you try any product, see your vet first. No one online can tell you what it is or how to treat it.

First make sure his pee doesn't contain any blood or pinkness to rule out a UTI. If it is just on the skin around it, wash it well with soap and water. You can apply witch hazel regularly to it to help. Another product I personally love to use is PETfection Deodorizer/Allergy Spray. It is 100% Organic, Non Toxic, and is amazing at helping with itchy spots/dry skin/bumps/etc. You can spray it onto the area that is red and it will help with any stinging/itching sensation that may be causing him to lick it. I hope this helps; best of luck!
