			<p>Most great dones do not realize they are big dogs.  Many will try to sit on your lap or try to cure up in  little dog beds.  I have friends that have them, and they do well in the house.  As long as you are able to  get them out for some exercise, they sould be fine.<br /><br />

			<p>Its not un-true. Great Danes, despite their size, can do very well in apartment settings IF their owner is committed to giving them proper exercise and stimulation. 

But if the owner isn't committed to taking them for walks and outings to play and stimulate their mind... Just like any dog living in a house with a yard, they're not going to do well.<br /><br />
