My friend has a aggressive little poodle mix.

My friend has a aggressive little poodle mix. His name is Sparky. She has him on a short leash tied to a door all day long. She got him as a puppy. She had no idea how much energy a puppy has. Sparky is now 1 year. He is starting to be aggressive. What should I say to my friend? I am going to try to talk her into finding him a better home. I know she will need to find him a good home before he gets too aggressive but she wants to keep him. She will never give Sparky the exercise he needs.

That's no life for a dog. I would just come out and tell her in a nice way that being tied up all day with no walks or mental stimulation is cruel. If she doesn't want to put the time in that a dog requires, then she should find him a new home. Good Luck!

I would become aggressive if you tied me to a door. This is cruel, and your friend should give this dog the structure, exercise, and attention he deserves or re home him before it is too late. Unaddressed aggression will only worsen in time. He becomes less adoptable every day.

I would suggest you contact your local Animal Rights/Humane Associations, and find out what they consider to be abuse from a Judicial point in your community.
