Greenies contain chloryphyll, which naturally cleans breath odors. Try one in the correct size (by dog weight) and see if they like it. Natural Choice also makes tartar control biscuits that help with oral health issues, they're in a light blue bag. ^_^

Greenies are a choking hazard, don't feed Greenies. That's odd for him to have bad breath, ask this question in the Dogster Raw Food Diet Forum - www.dogster.com

Bad breath can be an indicator of a variety of issues, some of which are more serious than others.

80% of dogs will suffer from some form of periodontal disease by age 3. This is not necessarily due to bad diet, genetics can play a key role in dental health.

I would recommend a vet visit to ensure there are no underlying health concerns or to have a cleaning.

Once you have a clean slate, you can maintain oral health at home by brushing and feeding functional treats like Greenies. Greenies are approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Association for being effective at removing plaque and tartar. They are also more soluble than kibble so IMHO they are less of a choking hazard than other inedible or less soluble products.

Hope that helps :)
