My dog was sleeping in the kitchen and started to pee in her sleep. She has never peed in the house. Is this normal?

Clean up the spot with enzymatic cleaner. Please take her to the vet. She might have a UTI.

No, it's not normal. Go to the vet and have her looked at. They'll take a urine sample and test it.

sleep-peeing is more indicative of urinary incontinence than a UTI- the sphincter that keeps the bladder closed can relax at inappropriate times. This is most common in middle-aged and older spayed females, but can happen to young ones and males too. Definitely get a vet check if this continues (once might have been just a freak accident) because there are cheap, safe drugs nowadays to regain bladder control for this type of incontinence (in fact, there's an article about it by Dr Barchas over on Dogster Magazine right now too!) Good luck!
