My dog stares at my boyfriend whenever he plays video games. Answers at Dogster Answers.

I have a 2 years old male fixed Havanese. He's a wonderful dog, and we don't need any training (before everyone jumps at it). He's CGC certified and we work with Delta Society(Pet Partners) as therapy dogs.

My boyfriend will play live video games (with his earphones on so no sound humans can hear).

Then my dog will sit there and stare at him. I don't mean for like a few seconds, I mean for so long that he will get tired from staring and sleep next to him.

I want to know...WHY!

He doesn't show signs of anxiety, and he doesn't seem unhappy. He just sits there...and stares.

Ok 1st your dog may notice that your boyfriend is wearing earphones & trying to figure our why when the people he meets as a therapy dog may wear hearing assistance aids also. Your dog also hears the noise your "boy"friend hears....I have CGC & TDI (therapy dog international) certifed dogs. An english mastiff, a basset hound mix, a pekingese, a rottweiler.

maybe he wants attention from him? for being a therapy dog maybe he is just doing what he likes doing best. lol he could also be confused by the sound of the headphones.
