Did the vet do a proper examination? The odor could mean an underlying health problem.. ear infection, tooth decay, intestinal problems..etc. Have a FULL vet exam done.

I agree with the poster before me that this may be something you want to pursue further with your vet. A physical exam is just that, a physical exam. It will not find things that are going on internally without further testing. So that's something you may consider.

Beyond that, have you considered that the body odor may be due to Isabella's diet? In humans, and also in dogs, the body odor varies depending on the diet. There is great discussion on body odors caused by diet in the human world, and it applies to dogs to some extent. Have you tried simply changing her diet to see if the odor improves?

Miss Priss

Hi - Well, if your dog has an odor it could be an over growth of yeast bacteria.
( very common with allergies- especially environmental - seasonal...)

Here is some help:

Dieta

Where is the smell coming from is what I would want to know, is it her anal glands or her body.
What does the smell seem like. Does she have dander? white flakes.
I would ask also what are you feeding her as well, it can be feeding the wrong food and her having a reaction to flea meds as well.
I only feed royal canin 24 for german shepherds and some other choice foods. I bathe only one to two times a year with solid gold shampoo. They make a great herbal shampoo.:) :)
