My dog licks my back door would it be ok to rub a half lemon/lime on it if she would stop

is it ok

It won't hurt her, but it might not cause her to stop either. She may end up licking more. Some dogs love lemon and lime, despite the fact that it's bitter.

Is she outside when she's licking the door, or inside? She may just want in/out depending on which side she's on.

You could try blocking her access to the door with baby gates and you might want to make sure the paint or finish on the door is lead free.

You could spray the door with a vinegar and water solution. I'm sure it will smell so nasty to her she will stay away!

You might want to try the bitter apple spray they sell in pet stores. Good Luck!
