My dog has been having audible gurgling noises in his mid-section for the past 2-3 days, what could be the problem?
My circa 18 month old (I'm not sure his exact age b/c he was given to me from someone who found him and his sister in their grandmother's barn with no tags or a collar) pitbull terrier, Beaux (pronounced as "BO" aka bo-bo, lol) for the pass 2-3 days is having audible gurgling noises come from his mid-section, presumably his intestines. He hasn't eaten more than 1 1/2 cup of dry dog food a day (I feed him "Rachel Ray's Nutrish", chicken and rice mix). He turns down treats and only nibbles on his rolled raw hide a few times throughout the day. I'm on a low income so if a visit to the vet is avoidable it would be helpful (although, I wouldn't hesitate to bring him if it is necessary) Also, his nose is dry. His stool seems to be normal in all aspects, color, consistency, etc. He seems to always want to go outside and on walks he doesn't eat grass or at least he doesn't infront of me. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. Also if someone can recommend a good dog food for beau too!

It sounds like normal digestive sounds. We all have gurgles in the gut sometimes. 1 1/2 cups a day isn't very much food for a 40 pound dog....hard to tell how much he weighs from pictures ???
How long have you had him? Is he maintaining his weight or losing?
Better quality food: Blue Buffalo, Taste fo the Wild are good for a start.
High quality food is more calorie dense than grocery store food, but he doesn't seem to have a weight problem.

Yea I do not think the food you are giving is a very good food , and I kind of agree that a better food may help alot. I understand not having money. Because of an accident I was not able to work for a few months this year. I gave my dog nutro max that is less expensive then some but still has not by-products or ground corn and my dogs liked it. I wish you the best and i hope times get better for you.
