My dog, a 10 month old Yorkie... for the past 4/5 days has been almost completely ignoring his food.
I feed him Science Plan vetessentials puppy, since we have him about (8 months now). The only way I've gotten him to even eat a few small bites is if I hand feed him (I know probably not the best idea, but I just wanted him to eat). I've tried switching around bowls incase it was problem and he seems still completely uninterested. He's drinking as normal, seems to go to the bathroom as normal. Just slightly confused as to what exactly is going on. Extremely concerned as he seems to be getting slightly thinner also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm quite worried and have had no access to a vet all weekend and how it's a bank holiday here in Ireland :(.
Thank you in advance, Emily.

Have you tried switching brands of food? Dogs can randomly stop liking their food or perhaps it is not sitting well with him. If you switch brands and he eats right away, then you solved the problem! If he won't eat any new dog food or even people food you have a serious problem and need to take him to the vet.

Is it near the end of the bag...sometimes it gets a little stale (especially with small dogs who take longer to finish a bag). Or if it is a new bag there could be something wrong with it. I once had a new bag of cat food that all 4 of my cats wouldn't eat. This was a food they had been on for years. Try getting a fresh bag either way and if that doesn't do the trick maybe a trip to the vet is a good idea.

I recommend switching his food to a high quality dog food brand. A lot of dogs don't like Science Diet so it's common for a dog not to like Science Diet. The ingredients are horrible in the food. Here's the ingredients in the food - Corn, poultry meat meal (Chicken min. 30%), animal fat, dried beet pulp, digest, corn gluten meal, fish oil, potassium chloride, salt, rice.
Corn (highly un-digestible, low quality, cheap, causes a lot of health problems and allergies), poultry meat meal (what TYPE of meat?), animal fat (what TYPE of animal?), dried beet pulp (no use for this to be in there), digest (digest from WHAT?) corn gluten meal (corn of any kind is bad for a dog to have, can cause a lot of health problems and allergies), fish oil (what TYPE of fish?), potassium chloride, salt (isn't a good ingredient to add to dog food), rice (white rice is a cheap and low quality food that can cause a lot of allergies).
Looking at the food, dog's are carnivores not vegetarians. This food is not something you would want to feed.
Anyways, I recommend feeding a high quality food such as Orijen, Acana, The Honest Kitchen, Sojos, Solid Gold Barking at the Moon, Solid Gold Sun Dancer, Primal Pet Foods or Red Dog Blue Kat.
