My boxer/ Shepard mix has small bumps on the tips of her ears. Don't seem to cause pain or discomfort. Any ideas?

very small bumps similar to zits. They are also fairly hard and there is no hair loss or scabs. There are two other dogs here and Neither has the same bumps. She doesn't scratch them and doesn't mind when I touch them. They are clustered at the tips and go away about half way up her ear. Taking her to the vet soon just thought I would get some info first

Sounds like it could be acne or an allergy to something. Acne can occur from the food bowl.. do her ears touch the bowl or does she lay on the ground an place her head on any greasy spot? If it is an allergy she may have stuck her head into a plant or something causing the bumps to appear. You wouldn't think it would be fleas, mites, or anything else if she is not itching and there is no discomfort or inflammation. One last thought, if she was running and playing like crazy maybe she wacked her ears on a tree branch or bush.
