My 8 month old great dane is scared of people

My dane puppy has a fear of people. I've been working with her for months on it. A couple months ago she would run and try to hide behinde me, now she actally lets people touch her but her head is down and her tail is between her legs. I take her out about 3 times a week if not more. I take treats and a clicker and when she lets people touch her i give her a treat, and sometimes I get a brave kid thats willing give her treats. Any tips, advice or ways I can build her confidence, am I doing this properly?
