My 1 & 1/2 year old cairn terrier has a black bump or skin tag on his bottom eyelid

Skippy has a black bump the size of a pimple on his lower eyelid.

I am always very cautious when my dogs get any lumps or bumps and I take them to the vet to get it checked out. Sometimes they say it is nothing and a few times they have removed the lump and sent it to the lab for biopsy.

I'd have it looked at just to be sure it's nothing serious. Anything that close to an eye is a concern.

My Cairn Terrier is 1 and 4 months old. He has the same thing. He has been having problems scratching his eyes lately. I was under the impression that it was Atopy, allergies very common in Cairns. However, today, out of the blue I noticed a black bump on his bottom eyelid as well.. where he alread avidly scratches. It is red and irritated now. I am going to give it a week or so and watch it to see if it grows/changes in any way, and then have it checked at the Vet if it is still visible.

Was your dog having the same problem with scratching beforehand?
