my 14 1/2 yr old mixed breed has started paceing the floor why is that? Mental? or Bored?

She was an outside dog for most of her life but she isn't very steady on her feet. We don't like giving her too much Rymadyl due to her age. She is getting Lazer treatment for arthritis in her hips and knees. We don't know if she is going senile or what and wonder about the quality of her life and if we should have her put to sleep. She also doesn't have very good control of her bladder functions either.

Dogs pace from pain or stress. You should see a vet to discuss options for pain control or other treatments.

At that age, the eye sight may be starting to go, and they are using their nose to keep track of what is going on in the house. But I do think a vet check would be a good idea.
