There is a chance she will live. I know someone whose Chihuahua got pregnant with a male Border Collie and she lived, the daddy lived and all the babies lived!

She is at high risk to die & lose the pups because of her size & age...Take her to the vet for a spay/abort or risk losing her.
This is a worst case scenario!

Roscoe

if you feel that your dog is in danger take her to the vet and have the pregnancy terminated. if you decide to do that do the girl a favor and get her spayed!!!!!

Chocolate

Well you choose. Your dog's life, a couple fetuses,or $2000 in c-section

Farley

Agreed! Terminate the pregnancy. It is extremely high-risk.

Pamela - Adopted!!!!

The Vet will do a spay/termination at the same time. It should have been taken care of when the dog was much younger. She is way past breeding age.

Do not try to salvage any puppies out of this, it will kill your dog to try. 10 is TOO OLD.

Bear, Princess, Coco, & Sheba

Because of her age and the fact that the male was bigger than her, her chance of dying from this pregnancy is very high and even if she survives the pregnancy she'll probably need a C-section and she may not survive that either, so your safest option is to have a spay/abort done.

Dieta

I would say abort the pups as well considering her age. It would be best to keep her safe. I would consult with a vet soon, as a dog only has roughly 63 days before delivery of the pups.
