Middle aged dog, obsessed with eating. Wakes us up!
We just took in a 7 year old Yorkie that LOVES to eat. So much in fact that she wakes us up during the night because she knows she gets fed when I get out of bed. We decided to switch feedings to afternoons to avoid the 4AM wake up call but she still gets gets us up during the night. I've never had a dog that didn't sleep all thru the night before! Suggestions???

Sounds like she has you trained. You get up, you feed her. I guess the first thing I would do is try to train her thatshe gets food when you want her to have it. I know it will be hard to do, but you have to ignore her until it is time to eat.
