Maple isn't feeling so good today. Are there any home remedies for this?
Maple, my 5 year old Lab/Chow Chow mix, has thrown up 3 times today. Once in the morning after eating, in the mid afternoon and just a few hours ago. It has been food and grass. I haven't fed her this evening. She seems to be very upset and under the weather. She doesn't want to play or go for walks. She's been sleeping all day. I am making sure she is drinking water, but she doesn't seem to want that much. I am worried about her. If it gets severe, I will surely take her to the vet, but is there anything that I can do for her just for now? Thanks!

I think this IS severe.
Any time a dog has the symptoms of vomiting more than once in a day ALONG with lethargy that is like this, I'd consider it important enough to take her in to the vet.
In fact, if she were my dog and she really did not want to go for her walk or seemed very upset and unhappy, I'd be taking her to the Emergency Vet tonight.
Even mild to moderate vomiting and diarrhea can cause severe dehydration.
Most of the time, dogs with mild acute vomiting are still pretty perky. The fact that she doesn't want to play or go for a walk is very concerning to me.
She could have eaten something on a walk, she could have a virus or she could have colitis or another gastric bug. She also could have eaten something that had poison on it.
I don't think there's any home remedy for this and I'd encourage you to take her in as soon as you can. It's not worth waiting and it's better to be safe than sorry.
I hope you'll come back and update us!

Has she eaten anything weird? What did she have to eat yesterday/today? She may have a tick, this sounds like a tick.
Peppermint, lavender, ginger. Ginger would be the best for her sickness. Lavender oil is good for calming the dog and relaxing the dog, also helps with fleas & ticks. Peppermint oil is good for a lot of things, too. Peppermint oil is good for gas, fleas & ticks, calming, and relaxing the dog.
If she is having diarrhea, then give her some slippery elm, or marsh mallow.
When did this start? Did it start today?
She may be depressed, or anxious. Some dogs get like this sometimes.
Cover her up with warm blankets. Put the blankets in the dryer for 15 minutes, then take them out and cover her up with them, also put them in her crate with her.

This sounds pretty darn severe to me!!! She needs to see a vet pronto.
And, please DO NOT give her ANYTHING unless you speak to your vet first!!! Herbs and oils may have their place, but this is NOT the place for them. Until you know exactly what is wrong with your dog, anything you give to her is certainly risking her life and could make her condition much, much worse!!!
Get her to a vet ASAP when she can be properly diagnosed and treated!!!
Good luck with her!

If she doesn't improve with in 24 hrs then the dog could have a bacterial infection which is easily cured with some antibotics. but, if it doesn't stop after that then the dog could have a parasite, some parasites are in dirty water also. So keep her dishes clean and any water that is outside in any containers or pond keep the dog away and dump the old standing waters.

You can give her 1TBLS of plain yogurt once or twice a day. This will help put good bacteria back into her gut. You can also try giving her some gatorade to keep her electrolyte level up. Have you tried giving her some plain cooked rice? Also, they do make black treats that contain charcoal... you can give her a couple a day, but you have to be careful because charcoal will also pull some needed minerals out of her body (along with junk making her stomach upset). Just a few ideas. Hope this helps.
