Kolt mostly grown up... What in the world is he!?!?
Kolt is now getting close to a year old. He's got some strange features, he's the cutest thing in the world. But I'm still pretty stumped as to what he may be. He does still look like he could be part Weimaraner. But his tail curls almost all the way around and over his back. He also has front and rear dew claws. He also came from a shelter in Linton, IN. Not really an area with a lot of uncommon dogs.. Any ideas?

Kolt - Great Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback/Weimaraner mix. The curly tail can be anything from being born that way, someone stepping on his tail as a puppy causing it to curl around or just the breeds he's mixed with. Uncommon dogs can show up anywhere, I see Pharaoh Hounds, Akita's, Shiba Inu's, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Shar Pei's, Bluetick Coonhounds, American Foxhounds, etc., around here. Sometimes these breeds can show up a lot around here, especially in shelters and rescues, breeders too. It doesn't matter the breed, any breed can show up anywhere.

I think Kolt (by the way I love that name) is a Weimaranar/Great Dane/Coonhound mix. He's a very beautiful dog. Congrats on almost being one Kolt!
